Expertise.
Put to work.

We’re developing Lectern to turn guided conversations with experts into researched content, briefings and questions that help people examine their thinking.

01 / The studio

Make room for the knowledge people carry.

Tomorrow Platforms builds AI products around demanding work and the people who know it best. AI prepares, connects and challenges. People retain judgement and approval.

Good thinking
doesn’t wait for
a clear diary.

Lectern is being designed to capture expert knowledge through guided conversations during walks, journeys and gaps between commitments.

We call it grey time. The aim is to turn that thinking into researched material others can use, with people retaining judgement and approval.

A change of scene. A useful conversation. Capture the experience that rarely makes it into a document.

From an observation to a useful briefing

Written illustration. These fictional examples explain the intended approach; they are not product-generated results.

01 / An expert’s observation

In our last project, the handover document was complete. The new team still needed three conversations to understand why we had made the decisions.

An illustrative account, ready for further questions.

02 / A possible briefing

An adjacent sector

A handover needs the reasoning behind the decisions.

The account suggests that a list of decisions left important context unstated. A useful briefing would capture the alternatives considered, the trade-offs and the questions still open.

What needs checking?

Based on the illustrative account above. Check the handover document and speak to the receiving team before treating this as a wider pattern.

03 / A question for human review

Which part of that judgement would still hold in a different sector?

Lectern is in development. Wider access is planned.

Building towards knowledge people can share, apply in new sectors and use to understand client needs.Shaped by early reviewer feedback.

02 / The founder

Meet Dave.

I’m Dave Roberts, founder of Tomorrow Platforms and an AI systems architect. I design products and workflows around the expertise people already have and the work that gets in their way.

I’m also a co-founder, AI Systems Architect and Head of Research at Ortelias, a proptech data business. My work spans systems architecture, product design, research and evaluation.

Earlier in my career, I was a headteacher. Today, I’m developing Lectern and building Tomorrow Platforms. When you get in touch, you’re talking directly to me.
